北京-新疆G7高速向公众开放
The last three sections of the Beijing-Xinjiang expressway (G7) opened to public on Saturday, marking the completion of China’s longest expressway.
北京-新疆G7高速最后三段周六向公众开放，这是中国最长的高速公路。
With a total length of 2768 kilometers, the highway links Beijing and Urumqi, the capital city of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous1 Region.
It will shorten the journey between the two cities by 1,300 kilometers.
The Beijing-Xinjiang expressway is not only the world’s longest desert expressway, but is a key project in China’s “Belt & Road Initiative,” which ties together 60 countries and regions in mutual2 trade and cultural cooperation.
